Errors

I've been noticing an error in our logs "EvaluationMatrix::OutOfRange!". Why?

It is theoretically possible for a scan to run off the edge of a ruelbase the chances are vanishingly small - that is, unless the rulebase is incomplete -- in that case the chances are just about certain. Be sure you are using SNF2Check (which can be found in the current distribution) every time you download a fresh rulebase.

You should never load a rulebase that hasn't been checked successfully with snf2check -- the Version 2 scanning engine itself does not do a comprehensive check so that it can run quickly.

The Version 3 SNFMulti engine does an internal check on the rulebase file before it will use it. Therefore you should never see this error from a version 3 (or greater) SNF system unless something has corrupted the rulebase data in memory which is extremely unlikley.
