I see --RELOADING-- AuthError in my log file and now I can't start SNF. Does that mean my subscription has lapsed?
No. It means most likely that you have a corrupt rulebase file from a bad download that was not undetected. Try downloading a fresh copy of the rulebase file and then SNF should start. Then check that your update script uses snf2check to validate new downloads. The getRulebase script we provide is a good example of how to do this.
Also-- If your subscription lapses (and you missed the notices we sent you about it) then our system will simply stop making new rulebase updates. As a result your rulebase file will get old and become less effective and your SNF node will not be allowed to connect to our SYNC system to update its IP reputation data. HOWEVER, SNF will continue to function! We realize that email is a critical piece of infrastructure so we don't do anything to disable SNF under any circumstances... It will simply become less effective over time.
